For what purposes do we process data?
The purpose of data processing is to provide and optimize our website, to ensure IT security and the proper functioning of our web services, as well as communication via contact forms on the website.
What data is processed and where does it come from?
When you visit our website, some technical data is automatically transmitted by your browser:
- IP address
- Date and time of access
- Time zone difference
- Content of the request (specific page)
- Access status or http status code

- Browser used and version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
To answer inquiries, we process all the data that you provide to us via your input in contact forms. In any case, that is your name, email address and your message.

The Green IT website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your computer and that your browser saves to store and process information about your use of the website. You have the option to allow or prohibit cookies in the security settings or in the cookie banner. Certain features may then only be available to a limited extent. What is the legal basis for this processing?
The processing of technical data is necessary to display the website (see Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR) and to ensure the security and stability of our IT systems (see Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR). You must first agree to the use of non-functional cookies and services via the cookie banner or by clicking on the content that is hidden by default (see Art 6 Paragraph 1 lit a GDPR).
Your contact details are required to process your request (cf. Art. 6 Para. 1 lit b GDPR). We use the data that you transmit to us via web forms exclusively to process your request and beyond, for example. not for advertising purposes.
Who will the data be passed on to and on what legal basis?

It is our legitimate interest to outsource the support of our IT systems - including the administration of domain and hosting - to an external IT service provider. This recipient is a processor and a dpa has been concluded with him:

- SEO: RankMath – Optimizes search engine rankings and is connected to Google Search Console.
- Translation: TranslatePress – Multilingual, WPML and various addons – Multilingual content and easy translation in the frontend.
- Comments: Disable Comments – disabling comments sitewide or in specific areas.
- Code-Snippets: Code Snippets – Add and manage custom PHP code snippets.
- E-Commerce: WooCommerce and various addons – management of the online shop, products, orders and customer data.
- Slider: Smart Slider 3 – Create and manage responsive sliders and image galleries.
- Data migration: WP Migrate Lite – Migrating databases and files between WordPress installations.
- Data export: WP All Export – Export data from WordPress to various file formats.
Third-party services set cookies that come from third parties and may collect personal data such as: Share your IP address with external companies. After your express consent in the cookie banner, these services enable providers to track user data across multiple websites:
- Spam protection: Google reCaptcha – Protects our forms from spam and misuse, where data can be submitted to Google LCC.

Hyperlinks to third party content
Our websites may contain links to external websites or other third-party content over which we have no influence. The respective provider is responsible for this at all times. At the time of linking, no illegal content was recognizable; furthermore, permanent control of the content would not be reasonable without concrete evidence of a legal violation. If legal violations become known in the future, such links will be removed immediately.
Is data transferred to third countries?
We use Office 365 from Microsoft Corporation in Dublin, Ireland as our email system. The transfer of data to Microsoft constitutes a transfer to a third country. Even when using third-party services such as Google reCaptcha, data can be transferred to third countries, in particular to the USA. When Google or Microsoft forward data to their companies in the USA, this happens within the framework of an adequacy decision by the EU Commission. Both companies also use standard contractual clauses and have binding internal data protection regulations and certifications.
How long is data stored?
Technical data collected when you visit the website is only transmitted to the hosting provider or stored temporarily and deleted at the end of the session. Which protective mechanisms are active?
There are a number of measures in place to ensure data security and compliance with data protection regulations. On the one hand, we must ensure technically and organizationally that our processing activities comply with the GDPR, and on the other hand, we must protect our data from unauthorized access in the interests of system security. You have the rights to information, correction, data portability, restriction, objection and deletion, provided that no statutory retention obligations or other laws conflict with the request.
